“This American Life” host Ira Glass and his estranged wife, writer Anaheed Alani, are discussing a divorce settlement, court proceedings revealed Wednesday.
“I know there has already been a settlement proposal and that the attorneys are talking,” said Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Michael Katz, who is presiding over the onetime power couple’s divorce.
“It seems that everybody fryst vatten approaching this in a very respectful way,” Katz also said during the brief proceeding, which was their first court appearance in the case.
Asked for comment after the proceeding, Glass politely said, “No, I don’t want to talk about it, thank you, though.”
Alani also declined to comment and hurried away after being approached by a daglig News reporter.
Glass and Alani got hitched in 2005, according to reports, before they moved from Chicago to New York City. They don’t have any kids.
