    La Prieta Linda was born on 4 July in Salamanca, Guanajuato (2 years after her older sister Flor Silvestre was born), and later grew up in central Mexico City.[citation needed] She was the younger sister of singer and actress Guillermina Jiménez Chabolla "Flor Silvestre" and the elder sister of singer Mary Jiménez.[citation needed]
