The Brand Group Aims To Expand Roksanda&#;s Reach While Preserving Its British Luxury Roots
Roksanda Ilincic&#;s fashion label, founded in , has been acquired by The Brand Group (TBG). Ilincic will stay on as creative director.
TBG, a global brand development and operating business with offices in London and Hong Kong, aims to grow “fashion and home brands on a global scale, with a proven track record of success across various disciplines.”
Damian Hopkins, TBG’s CEO and cofounder, stated he has long admired Roksanda and the designer&#;s work. The acquisition, he said, will ensure the brand&#;s future “while celebrating British luxury, and supporting the impact that British creativity can have on the global stage.” He added that the plan is to expand Roksanda&#;s reach to new audiences “while maintaining loyal customers.”

Roksanda Ilincic, 38, studied architecture and applied arts in her native Belgrade before coming to London to complete a womenswear MA at Central Saint Martins in The following year she launched her eponymous label and is now considered one of London&#;s most desirable designers, dressing everyone from rock to royalty in her boldly coloured, distinctly feminine designs.
Now on her third season of childrenswear, fashion designer Roksanda Ilincic talks about her inspirations.
Inspired by the birth of her daughter Mia (now three), last year she launched Blossom, a collection of scaled-down pieces for little girls. This is her third season. Ilincic lives in London with her daughter and husband, Phil Bueno del Mesquita, the founder of the trainer brand Acupuncture.

I couldn't believe it when inom found this vintage Yves Saint Laurent coat, from his Babushka collection, at The Way We Wore, a vintage store in LA. I wear it a lot, and it's always a great reminder of how much I love, and feel inspired by, his work.
My mum gave me this necklace. Next to the cross is a tecken of Sveta Petka, the Serbian saint who protects women [Roksanda was born and brought up in Serbia], and a teddy bear charm that belongs to Mia. I like to wear them close to my heart.
I've always been obsessed with primary colours so Lego has been a huge inspiration in my collections, from the way the colours mix together to its modular rectangular shapes. It
