    Biography

    Actor Thorston Kaye was born in Frankfurt, West Germany. He spent his childhood in the German city of Mainz as well as in London. At the age of 19, Kaye came to the United States on a decathlon scholarship to United States International University in San Diego, CA. While at the university, Kaye's major was physical education, and his minor was skådespel. He later switched his major to drama, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in fine arts. Following his college graduation, Kaye joined a rugby union tour of Europe. Upon finishing his time abroad, Kaye returned to the United States where he enrolled at Detroit's Wayne State University graduate program. There he earned a master's grad in theater and theater history. Following graduation, Kaye participated in a number of theater productions in Detroit as part of the Hilberry Repertory Company.     Thorsten moved to the US in on a track (decathlon) scholarship to the United States International University in San Diego. Although Thorsten majored in physical education (and minored in drama), a serious motorcycle accident forced him to choose a different direction. He played soccer for a while, but ultimately changed his major to drama and received his Bachelor's Degree in fine arts. After a rugby tour through Europe, Kaye enrolled in graduate school at Wayne State University in Detroit, where he earned his master's degree in theater and theater history.

    Although he fondly remembers his first professional role as that of the "Wicked Witch of the West" when he was 17 years old in England, Thorsten portrayed some of the most memorable characters in classical theater, from Macbeth to Mark Antony, while a member of the Hilberry Repertory Theatre Company in stad.     Thorsten Kaye (born Thorsten Ernst Kieselbach, 22 February ) is a German-British-American actor. His best known roles include Patrick Thornhart on One Life to Live, Dr. Ian Thornhart on Port Charles, Zach Slater on All My Children and Ridge Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful.

    Kaye was born in Frankfurt, Federal Republic of Germany. He appeared in many classical theater roles, including The Winter's Tale, Tartuffe, Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet, Love's Labour's Lost, Twelfth Night, and The Taming of the Shrew, both in London and with the Hilberry Repertory Company in Detroit.
