    Harry Lauter was born on June 19, 1914, in White Plains, New York. He was an American actor who made notable contributions to the film and television industry. His career spanned several decades, during which he portrayed diverse characters in various genres. He embarked on his professional career in the 1940s, primarily appearing in supporting roles in films.

    One of Lauter's most memorable roles was in the western film "Escape from Fort Bravo" (1953), where he played the character of Corporal in a cast that included William Holden. During the 1950s and 1960s, Lauter made numerous appearances in popular television series, becoming a familiar face on the small screen.
