Grahame Mark Morris[1] (born 13 March )[2] is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Easington since

Early life and career
[edit]Grahame Morris was born on 13 March , and was educated at Howletch Comprehensive School (now East Durham College). He first worked as a medical laboratory scientific officer in hospitals in Sunderland. Morris has been involved with politics since when he became a District Councillor for Easington. He worked as a researcher for previous John Cummings since , and was also Secretary of Easington Labour Party.

Biographical Details
Born and brought up in the Easington Constituency, Grahame Morris has spent all of his adult life working with others to bring about improvements for local residents in the constituency. With thirty years of commitment to the Labour movement and a proven track record of service to the community, Grahame feels tremendously privileged to be carrying the standard for the Labour Party and fully intends to fight hard to maintain this historically important seat for Labour at the next General Election.
Grahame has always sought to raise the aspirations of East Durham’s communities through his work with the voluntary sector and is determined to improve the life chances of working people and their families. He stands for Labour’s traditional values of decency, fairness and social justice and feels Easington needs an MP who will harness the potential of its people and fight determinedly on their behalf in Westminster.
