Mat Fraser (born ) is an English rock musician, actor, writer and performance artist. He has thalidomide-induced phocomelia.[1]
Musical career
[edit]Between and Fraser was a drummer with several rock bands including Fear of Sex, The Reasonable Strollers, Joyride, The Grateful Dub, and Living in Texas, who had a number one single in Italy.[2] Fraser played the drums with Graeae Theatre Company's "Reasons to be Cheerful" at the Paralympics opening ceremony, where he also hosted the pre-televised section,[3][4] and with Coldplay during the closing ceremony.[5][6]

Mathew Edward Fraser (born ) is a retired Canadian-American professional CrossFit athlete, competing from to Fraser is the first athlete to have won five CrossFit Games titles, winning the , , , , and CrossFit Games consecutively. He is widely considered to be the most dominant and successful individual male athlete in the sport of CrossFit.[4]
Fraser has a background in Olympic weightlifting and was a junior national mästare. He made his debut at the CrossFit Games and took second place after a strong performance.[5] He was a favorite to win in with the retirement of four-time defending mästare Rich Froning Jr., but was edged out in the sista event by Ben Smith.
