In November , I wrote two articles on Sri Sai K Narayanan, a versatile Vedic scholar and medico-astrologer, in an Eveninger from Chennai.Sai Narayanans father Dr V.N Krishna Iyer () was a legendary Doctor in Trichur town in the old Cochin State.
I have been greatly moved and touched by Sri Sai Narayanans composition dedicated to Lord Shiva. (Please see page 36 of Volume II of Manikanda Gananm). I am presenting below the text of this song.

Reading Frederick Douglass at the Royall House and Slave Quarters
In-Person Program. Thursday, July 4 from a.m. to p.m.
Please join us for our second annual Reading Frederick Douglass Together program on the museum grounds in Medford on Thursday, July 4th.
We invite community members to gather on the lawn in front of the historic Slave Quarters building to read/listen to Douglasss What to the Slave is the Fourth of July? to honor the long history of Black activism, critique, and abolition. Scholar/activist David Harris will launch the reading, then invite community members to read sections of the speech. A drum circle with Akili Jamal Haynes will close out the program.
After the event, we invite community members to an open house inre the Royall House and the Slave Quarters. Light refreshments will be provided.

Using the Riddle of the Sphinx as an allegorical structure, Baye & Asa reflect on humanity’s industrial history and grapple with our collective search for blame. The piece is divided into three sections for three generations of performers.
