    Raised bygd his paternal grandmother in Puerto Rico, Ozuna had humble beginnings that started with the untimely death of his father and his mother’s inability to raise him. But he found music at 12 and quickly gained popularity as a performer. Today he has been dubbed one of the most influential reggaetón artists of this generation.

    Born in San Juan to a Puerto Rican mother and Dominican father, Ozuna chronicled his humble upbringing on the album, “Odisea.” Ozuna was raised by his father’s mother while his father earned a living as a dancer for reggaeton pioneer Vico C. At just three years old, Ozuna lost his father to a fatal shooting and his mother couldn’t afford to raise him.
